The Water Resources Master Plan will assess and recommend improvements to water management throughout Clive including lakes and ponds, Walnut Creek and its tributaries, the overland flow of rain and melting snow, and the City's storm sewer and other conveyance systems.  The plan will outline how the City can improve its stormwater utility program; comply with current and future regulations on the quantity and quality of the water discharged into Walnut Creek; create a stronger link between stormwater management and the preservation and enhancement of natural spaces like the Clive Greenbelt, and build sustainable neighborhoods that are beautiful and resilient to more frequent and intense rain events.

In summer 2020, the Council approved a contract with HDR Engineering to partner with the City on the project.  Additional project information, updates, and opportunities for community engagement are available here.
