Parent and Child Aquatics- For Ages 6 months – 3 Years

The purpose of Parent and Child Aquatics is to teach safe behaviors around the water and develop swimming readiness by leading parents and their children in water exploration activities with the objective of having fun and becoming comfortable in, on and around water. Instructors provide water safety for parents as well as holding/support techniques.  The American Red Cross and Clive Aquatics does not focus on independent swimming at this age and does not encourage forced submersions.

  • Conquering aquatic fears
  • Behavioral and/or physical disabilities
  • Difficulties passing a level that participant has taken more than a few times over

Private lessons classes are a 1 instructor to 1 swimmer ratio.
