Outreach

Clive Public Library has a strong desire to serve and collaborate with teachers and other education organizations-public, private, and homeschool who live or work in Clive and the surrounding area.  Let's work together to teach our community about the free resources available to them at their public library.  Here are some options to consider:

Library Tour:  We encourage your school/community organization to bring both students, staff, and parents to our library!  A private library visit may vary, but typically includes a tour of the collections/facility and opportunities for families to sign up for accounts, and an activity in our library community room.

Off-site Visit:  If your organization has a similar event on site, we can join you there!  We can provide a booth or a table at your event to promote our resources and provide new library cards.  We can also do a themed story time which includes a Bilingual Spanish Story Time.

Summer Reading Kickoff Visit:  We would love to come to your classroom to get your kids excited to come to the library all summer long to read and earn prizes. We want to help combat the summer slump and get them ready to come back in August after having read all summer long.

Other:  Collaborative projects such as student book reviews, poetry writing contests, STEM programs are all ways we have worked with organizations such as yours.  We are open to new ideas and ways to connect to the community.

Keep in mind that we require at least four weeks advance notice for requests.
