  • January 2019 - Criminal history checks, polygraph examinations, etc.
  • February 2019 - Civil Service interviews
  • March 2019 - Certified Civil Service list established
  • April 2019 - Certified Civil Service list to Clive City Council for approval


Head Aquatics Facility Manager

The Clive Aquatic Center is looking for a highly motivated aquatic leader who is dedicated to maintaining world class aquatic safety, staffing and operations at the facility.

The Head Aquatic Facilities Manager is responsible for the safety of all facility patrons, staff and program participants. This position will assist the Recreation Coordinator with managing staff schedules, overall operations of the aquatic center, pre-season staff trainings, and completing required forms/documents at the facility required by the state of Iowa, City of Clive and the Model Aquatic Health Code. The position will also assist the Recreation Coordinator with management of the facility staff, Clive Swim Lesson Program and other aquatic programs and handling of patron concerns/suggestions at the facility.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Two years of experience within pool operations or other management experience is required. Two years of experience with swim lesson and aquatic programming is preferred. CPO, WSI and LGI certifications are desired. Minimum entry wage for this position is $17.85 per hour. This seasonal position averages 30-40 hours per week, March-August, with flexible scheduling.
