DART Needs Your Feedback on Public Transit Service In Clive
What type of public transit service would you most like to see in Clive? The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is currently collecting feedback through an online survey to learn what changes residents want to see to DART service.
Clive residents currently have access to one Express Route with stops at a Park and Ride lot in Clive that travels to downtown Des Moines. Express Route 92 – Hickman runs from 156th Street on weekdays during morning and evening peak commute hours.
DART wants to know if the hours this route runs still fit the needs of commuters in Clive.
Clive residents have access to two Flex Routes that serve destinations in Clive, as well as in West Des Moines and Urbandale. DART’s Flex Routes operate on a fixed route, but riders of these routes also have the ability to request to be picked up or dropped off anywhere within the flex zone of these routes for an additional fee.
DART wants feedback on whether or not this type of service is the most efficient way to meet the transportation needs of Clive residents. The Flex Routes that operate in the City of Clive are Flex Route 72 – Clive/West Des Moines and Flex Route 74 – NW Urbandale.
DART needs to know what you think so that it can ensure it is providing the service Clive residents need. Any changes would have to be cost-neutral, and could include the possibility of shifting resources.
You can let DART know what type of service you would like to see in Clive by taking a short online survey, or by attending an upcoming public meeting.
