Jacobson Proposes to Relocate Headquarters to Clive

The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) board today awarded direct financial assistance and tax benefits to five companies for job creation and expansion projects. One of the projects is located in Clive where logistics leader Jacobson Companies has proposed to relocate their headquarters to Clive. Jacobson Companies is a leading third party logistics company, providing customized, fully outsourced, comprehensive supply chain management solutions and has an extensive national presence with a multi-facility network spanning 149 locations in 26 states. The $2.3 million project was approved by the IEDA board for Direct Financial Assistance to retain 220 jobs, 98 of which are incented and create an additional 10 jobs. The Clive City Council approved local sponsorship of the Jacobson application for Direct Financial Assistance during their September 19 meeting. The City is providing a $60,000 zero-interest loan to Jacobson repayable over five years and IEDA will be providing a $250,000 forgivable loan. Upon completion of the project the City of Clive looks forward to adding Jacobson to the Clive business community, “Quality, long-standing companies like Jacobson are a great fit for Clive and we look forward to providing the quality of life and wellness opportunities their employees are looking for,” said Mayor Scott Cirksena.
