Emergency Notification System
The City of Clive, in conjunction with the WestCom Dispatch Center, has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - a high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows the dispatcher to telephone all or targeted areas of the City in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices).
The system is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.
CodeRED is populated with published landline telephone numbers associated with a property address. Cell phone and other telephone numbers can be added to the system for notifications affecting your property address. This information can be entered by selecting the following CodeRED link.
