Part-Time Office Assistant 

The City of Clive is looking for a highly motivated individual for the position of Part-Time Office Assistant within the Public Works Department.  Clive is known for providing great services with high resident satisfaction.  The Part-Time Office Assistant performs a wide variety of general office procedures necessary for efficient functioning of the City's administrative operations. Job entails receptionist duties, billing, word processing, spread sheet, data base work, and other general clerical duties.  Must have ability to perform manual tasks; to understand and carry out specific verbal or written instructions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with citizens, supervisors, co-workers, other City employees.  

Part-Time Office Assistant will be scheduled for 20 hours per week, with occasional additional hours up to 40 hours per week.  Minimum starting wage $11.64 per hour with prorated benefit package.

Special Census Workers

Temporary Employment Opportunity for the Clive 2015 Special Census

In August, the U.S. Census Bureau will conduct a Special Census in the Dallas County area of our community. The City of Clive has requested it and will incur the cost. Local residents are needed for temporary work with wages ranging from $10.55 - $16.55 per hour, plus mileage and paid training.

Qualifications include:

 Must be 18 years of age or older

 A valid driver’s license and a vehicle available for use

 Available a minimum of 20 hours per week (including some evenings and weekends)

 Able to attend a 3-day training session (dates to be determined)

Applicants will be contacted to take a job-related test to further determine suitability for census employment. Training dates are yet to be determined. Employment is expected to be four to six weeks in duration.
