Police Officer

 

The Clive Police Department is accepting applications for the position of police officer.  Starting salary is $42,225 with excellent benefits to include paid health insurance, life insurance, dental and vision insurance, sick leave, vacation, and deferred compensation plan with additional benefits. 

Applicants must be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED; two years of college preferred.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.  Applicants must meet the standards established by the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and the Clive Civil Service Commission.  Applicants must successfully pass the written POST test, a physical agility test, an extensive background investigation including polygraph, a psychological test and evaluation, an oral interview, and thorough medical examination including drug screening.

Deadline for accepting completed applications is Monday, August 11, or postmarked by August 9.  Testing will take place on Saturday, August 23, beginning at 9:00 am at the Dymond Public Safety Center at 8505 Harbach, Clive, Iowa.
