Water

The City of Clive receives water from Des Moines Water Works.  Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) is responsible for the initial treatment to insure the best quality before distributing it to the city as a wholesale customer.  As it reaches our connection, the Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the high quality of water until it flows out of your faucet.

The Water Distribution Division of the Public Works Department is charged with operating and maintaining more than 85 miles of water mains, 1200 valves, 920 fire hydrants, 5500 water meters, two elevated water storage facilities, one water booster station, and a fixed base automatic meter reading system.
