STREET MAINTENANCE
The Public Works Department provides ongoing maintenance activities including crack sealing and slab stabilization which helps extend the life of existing paving. To report a pothole, or other street maintenance problem call the Public Works Department at 515-223-6231.
PERMITS FOR EXCESS SIZE AND WEIGHT
The Director of Public Works may issue a special permit in writing authorizing the applicant to operate or move a vehicle or combination of vehicles of a size and weight or load exceeding the maximum specified by State law or the City over those streets or bridges named in the permit. A fee shall be paid for the permit in accordance with an established fee schedule.
