Leagues and Tournaments
The City of Clive offers a variety of leagues and tournaments throughout the year for both adult and youth. Below is a listing for our Fall/Winter season. To go directly to the section on this page, click on the desired link.
Adult Leagues
Bags League
New for 2012! Clive Parks and Recreation is introducing a Bags League. There will be two six-week seasons offered for Spring and Summer. The league will consist of two-player teams, playing five games each night to 21. Games will be played on the basketball courts next to the concession stand. Players must be 16 or older.

Dodge Ball Tournament
Clive Parks and Recreation are hosting their Annual Dodge Ball Tournament. Games will be played at Clive Elementary (1600 – 73rd St., Windsor Heights ). Participants must be 16 years old or over.
Date: Sunday, March 4, 2012
Fee: $65/team
Registration Deadline: Monday, February 27*
*All fees and roster (complete with signatures and addresses) must be turned in by the deadline.

Sand Volleyball Leagues
Games are played at Campbell Recreation Area. Games will be played on the hour, with teams playing seven games per season. Standings will be kept and awards given to the top teams. Teams will officiate their own games. Participants must be 18 years old and out of high school.
Leagues Offered:
- Mondays - Women's 4's
- Tuesdays - Coed Recreational 6's
- Wednesdays - Coed Competitive 6's
- Thursdays - Coed Recreational 6's
Acceptance policy: Returning teams from 2011 spring/summer leagues.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE * 1st Season (May-June) Friday, April 13 2nd Season (July-August) Friday, June 8 *All fees and roster (complete with signatures and addresses) must be turned in by the deadline.

Softball Leagues
Games are played at Campbell Recreation Area. Games will be played on the hour, with teams playing fourteen games per season. Standings will be kept and awards given to the top teams. Participants must be 18 years old and out of high school.

Acceptance policy: Returning teams from 2011 leagues.
Spring Season (April) Wednesday, March 14
New teams will be considered March 15
$360/team
Summer Season (July-August) Friday, June 8 **$360 league fee + $12 non-resident player fee + 6% sales tax + $26 ASA fee
(ASA dues and non-resident fees are a one-time yearly fee.)

Youth Leagues
Three-on-Three Basketball Tournament
The Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its eleventh annual tournament. Age groups will be competing against each other and awards will be given to the top teams in each bracket. Teams are guaranteed three games. Age brackets will be divided for boys and girls in grade 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9-12. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation office in January 2012.

- Teams are required to have matching jerseys / T-shirts with numbers
Fee: $70/team
Tournament date: Saturday, March 31, 2012
Location: Valley Southwoods High School (625 S. 35th Street, West Des Moines)
Grades: 4th Grade and Younger, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th-12th
Divisions: Girls and Boys
Registration deadline:* Monday, March 23 at 4:30 p.m.
