Leagues and Tournaments

The City of Clive offers a variety of leagues and tournaments throughout the year for both adult and youth.  Below is a listing for our Spring/Summer season. To go directly to the section on this page, click on the desired link.

Adult Leagues

Coed or Men's Dodgeball Tournaments

 

Clive Parks and Recreation will be hosting their Annual Dodgeball Tournament.  The tournament will be held at Clive Elementary (1600 – 73rd St., Windsor Heights).  Players must be 16 or older to participate.

 

Fee:  $60/team

Date:  Sunday, March 7

Time:  Noon

Registration deadline:*  Monday, March 1

*All fees and roster (complete with signatures) must be turned in by the deadline.

Adult Softball Leagues

Games are played at Campbell Recreation Area located at 12385 Woodlands Parkway.  Seasons vary depending on the division.  The divisions are as follows:

Fee:  $350 + $12 non-resident player fee** + 6% tax + $26 ASA dues**

(**Non-resident player fee and ASA dues are a one-time yearly fee.)

Acceptance policy:  Returning teams from the 2009 seasons will be given priority for all leagues.

Coaches meeting:  Wednesday, April 7 at 6:00 p.m.

Men's Church Softball League

Games are played at Campbell Recreation Area located at 12385 Woodlands Parkway.  The league has a 14-game schedule.

League start date:  Monday, April 19

Game nights:  Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

Fee:  $350 + $12 non-resident player fee + 6% tax + $26 ASA dues

Coaches meeting:  Tuesday, March 23 at 6:00 p.m.

Season-ending tournament:  Saturday, June 26 / Rain date - Saturday, July 10

League registration deadline:*  Tuesday, March 23

Coed (6-on-6) Sand Volleyball Leagues

Games are played at Campbell Recreation Area located at 12385 Woodlands Parkway.  The league has a seven-game season with eight teams per league.  Games will be played every hour starting at 6:15 or 7:15 p.m.

Fee:  $75 per league/season

Acceptance policy:  Returning teams from the 2009 seasons (indoor or sand) will be given priority for all leagues. Must be 18 years old and out of high school.

Youth Leagues

3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament

Clive's 10th Annual 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament is a tournament that guarantees all teams three or more games.  Awards will be given to the top teams. Each participant wll receive a tournament T-shirt on the day of the competition.  Please make sure the T-shirt sizes are listed on the completed entry form.

Scheduling brackets will be completed on Tuesday, March 23.  The Recreation Department will mail brackets to teams informing them of their schedule.  The Clive Recreation Department has the right to change the format of the tournament.

Fee:  $65/team

Tournament date:  Saturday, March 27, 2010

Location:  Valley Southwoods High School (625 S. 35th Street, West Des Moines)

Grades:  4th Grade and Younger, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th-12th

Divisions:  Girls and Boys

Registration deadline:*  Monday, March 22 at 4:30 p.m.
