Parks and Recreation

The Parks & Recreation Department currently maintains 15 parks including the Clive Aquatic Center and the Greenbelt Park & Trail. City park land totals nearly 350 acres and includes approximately nine miles of multi-purpose recreation trails. For easy access, the Greenbelt Trail includes trail heads at NW 86th Street, NW 100th Street, Campbell Recreation Area, and Wildwood Park. The trail is open for use year-round as snow is removed from the trail during winter months. The Clive Aquatic Center is an outdoor facility that is open during the summer. Features of the Aquatic Center include a zero-depth entry leisure pool, a Lazy River, six-lane lap pool and three water slides along with a  one-meter board. The Department also plans and manages a wide range of recreation programs for all age groups from pre-schoolers to active older adults. Call the office for the latest program information.

Department Information

The Parks & Recreation offers numerous recreation programs and special events.  The Parks & Recreation Department is also responsible for park and trail maintenance as well as overall appearance and safety of our City park facilities.
