Reading Rewards Program

Every adult or young adult who turns in five brief reviews of books they like for the "Patron Recommendations" section in the library will be presented with a hardcover Book Lover's Diary. Library patrons who submit a list of 50 books they have read will receive a gold library card. Library patrons who submit a list of 100 books they have read will receive a platinum library card.

The Reading Rewards program was created to promote reading among all ages and to help celebrate the many ways reading improves lives through emotional enrichment, education and community.

E-audio books

You can check out e-audio books from your library at your home or office!  As part of the WILBOR consortium, the Clive Public Library is offering e-audio books for its patrons to download and listen.
The e-audio books can be downloaded from any computer that is connected to the Internet, at any hour of the day.  From a website you can browse or search for a title you’d like to listen to, and log in. Your
library card is the “key”. Just log in with your library card number, and download the title to your computer. Then listen to the book on your computer, or transfer it to an mp3 player.
WILBOR’s collection has fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as books for children and teens.  Bestsellers and classics, history and humor, business and self help--you’ll find them all in WILBOR.
Up to three books at a time can be checked out for one week. The file will "expire" on your computer after one week, but when they are transferred to an mp3 player you can take your time listening to them. Some titles can even be burned to a CD for your own personal use. Now available for I-Pod users too!
