Fire Division Apparatus
Ladder 325
A 1994 Sutphen 75' Mini Tower, L325 is powered by a 450 hp Detroit Diesel engine and equipped with a 1,500 gallon-per minute single stage Hale pump, a 300 gallon water tank, and a high output Harrison hydraulic generator. Its main feature is a 75’ mid-mount ladder with a 100-gpm waterway and a 750 pound
tip- load capacity.
This ladder truck is the first ladder truck ever purchased by the City of Clive.
This truck's signature is an eagle descending from above with an axe and is outlined with the words," Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus", which is Latin for "we came, we saw, we conquered".
Engine 320
A 1996 Sutphen Rescue Pumper - Engine 320 is powered by a 450 hp Detroit Diesel engine and equipped with a 2,000 gallon per-minute two-stage Hale pump, a 500-gallon water tank, and a diesel generator.
Engine 320 functions as a reserve pumper and rescue vehicle. This apparatus carries a full line of equipment for fire suppression and an impressive collection of rescue tools and equipment.
Engine 320 is the primary engine that responds with Foam-1 and carries additional rubber-jacketed hose and other specialty foam firefighting equipment.
Engine 321
A 2006 Toyne - Engine 321 was manufactured in Breda, Iowa, and is powered by a Cummins ISL 400 diesel engine and fitted with an Allison transmission, a 1,500 gallon per-minute Hale Qmax pump, a 500-gallon water tank, and a PTO powered generator.
Engine 321 functions as a first-line pumper and rescue vehicle. This apparatus carries a full line of equipment for fire suppression and an impressive collection of rescue tools and equipment. It is equipped to function as a first response medical unit at the paramedic level and provide initial care until an ambulance is on scene.
Cars 328, 329, & 302 
The Clive Fire Department operates three command vehicles. Each Is equipped with a mobile data computer that receives call information from the dispatch center, provides building and occupancy history and safety alerts, and call location mapping. Communications are handled via 800 & VHF radios, which can be linked together, and a cellular telephone. The car is also equipped with the Knox-Box Sentraloc key retention system.
All command vehicles include a variety of resources and tools to successfully implement an Incident Management System at small and large size incidents.
Car 328 is primarily operated by the Chief. Car 329 is primarily operated by the on-call Duty Officer, and Car 302 is primarily staffed by the Fire Marshal.
FOAM-1
Foam-1 is a foam attack trailer designed to respond incidents involving combustible or flammable liquids.
Foam-1 was manufactured by United Plastics and purchased with funds provided by BP Amoco, NCMIC (National Chiropractic Mutual Insurance Company), and Iowa Homeland Security Region 1.
Foam-1 is equipped with 500 gallons of alcohol resistant AFFF 3% / 6% concentrate with an additional 300+ gallons of concentrate (available as follow on supply).
To deliver its foam, Foam-1 is equipped with a 500 gpm fixed monitor, two 200’ 1¾ inch preconnected handlines, a Jet ratio proportioner that allows foam delivery to a portable monitor nozzle up to 1,000 feet from the foam supply.
Foam-1 is towed by Utility 322 and accompanied by Engine 320.
Utility 322
A 2000 GMC 1-on crew cab 4x4, U322 features a 6 compartment "job" box for equipment storage space and an Eagle brand lift gate capable of lifting
1,000 lbs.
Communications are handled via 800 & VHF radios.
U322 is used to pull Foam-1 and MCI-1.
This truck is used to haul items used in training, station maintenance, and for returning dirty firefighting equipment to the station for cleaning before being placed back in the trucks.
Engine 220
This 2001 Pierce Lance Rescue Pumper has an aluminum chassis. It is equipped with a 1, 500 gpm single stage Hale pump, 500-gallonwater tank,
and 500 hp Detroit Diesel engine
It has a seating for six personnel with five of those being "airpack" seats.
Additional compartmentalization for vehicle extrication and EMS equipment.
Telescopic lighting package located on top of the cab that increases scene safety and efficiency through supplemental rotating flood lamps.
Class A and B foam-producing suppression capabilities, designed to minimize
water damage during suppression operations. Communications are handled via
800 MHz and VHF mobile radios and a mobile computer.
Tower 225
This 1995 Sutphen has a 100' platform with a 800lbs tip -load capacity. It is designed to operate in any position at ,1000 gpm with two personnel in the platform. It is equipped with a 1,500 gpm single-stage Hale pump, a 300 gallon water tank, and a 450hp Detroit Diesel.engine. it has a for six personnel with five of those being "airpack" seats.
