Ambulances 323 and 324
These 2006 and 2011 Type III Ambulances are each mounted on Ford Super Duty chassis.
As Advanced Life Support ambulances, they are equipped at the paramedic level and staffed by a crew of two.
They are equipped with mobile data computers that receive call information from the dispatch center, provide building and occupancy history and safety alerts, and call location mapping. Communications are handled via 800 & VHF radios, and cellular telephone. The ambulances are also equipped with the Knox-Box Sentraloc key retention system.
In addition to various life-saving equipment, medications and supplies, the ambulances are equipped with the Philips MRx Heartstart cardiac monitor/defibrillator/pacemaker with 12- lead EKG and can transmit a copy of the 12-lead EKG to the hospital in order to speed up the delivery of definitive care in the event a patient is having a heart attack.
Medic 327
This 2007 Ford Expedition is a Paramedic Response Vehicle.
Staffed 24/7 with at the paramedic level, this vehicle responds to medical emergencies insupport of the ambulance crew. It is equipped to provide initial care until an ambulance is on scene.
With the availability of four-wheel drive, M327 can be used to get to patients that are in areas inaccessible to an ambulance and transport the patient to a waiting ambulance.
MCI-1

MCI-1 is one of two Multiple Casualty Incident trailers stationed in Polk County. It was purchased and equipped with funds provided by the Metropolitan Medical Response System.
MCI-1 is intended to be deployed to incidents where the number of actual or potential casualties exceeds capabilities of the local responders.
MCI-1 is equipped with a gasoline-powered generator, portable lighting, chemical lighting sticks, various triage equipment/supplies, patient assessment equipment, spinal immobilization equipment, emergency blankets, a propane heater with blower, and a large “DRASH” tent.
MCI-1 is deployed upon requesst received through the WestCom dispatch center and is towed by Utility 322.
