Fences, decks, pools, dog runs, flagpoles, etc. are considered accessory structures. A site plan indicating the intended location of the structure must be provided along with the building permit application.
For swimming pool or hot tub installation, enclosure requirements are mandatory. Please see the second page of the Swimming Pool Installation Requirements (link below) for Enclosure Criteria for Swimming Pool/Hot Tub Installation. This form must be signed and submitted with a site plan and the application for building permit.
All accessory buildings and structures must be maintained for aesthetic and safety reasons.
To ensure all codes are being met, swimming pools and hot tubs(and their enclosures) must be inspected on a yearly basis. Notification will be sent in late spring, approximately two weeks prior to commencement of inspections.
