Community Development

The Community Development Department provides professional services related to planning and zoning, building construction and engineering. The department is responsible for the development and implementation of various long-range plans, reviewing and approving development proposals for new construction and the creation and administration of many capital improvement projects.

The Department's mission is:

"to ensure the quality creation and preservation of the built environment based on the public's diverse interests and the community's shared vision"
