Timeline

This is the current timeline that has been developed for the redevelopment of the NW 86th Street Corridor.  This is subject to change.

2007

  • Construction on NW 86th Street & Hickman Road intersection south to Franklin Avenue

2008

  • Construction at the intersection of NW 86th Street & University Boulevard.
  • Construction on University Boulevard from NW 86th Street through NW 84th Street.

2009

  • Construction on University Boulevard from NW 84th Street through NW 78th Street.

2010

  • Construction on University Boulevar/University Avenue from NW 78th Street through NW 73rd Street.

There are three parts of the redevelopment that are being planned and constructed based on the redevelopment of the areas.  These projects extend from 2007 to 2010 and into the future. These projects are,

  • NW 86th Street from Primrose to Harbach,
  • NW 86th Street and Harbach Intersection and Extension,
  • NW 86th Street from University Boulevard through Walnut Creek and to University Avenue.

Streetscape improvements are planned throughout the project, from 2008 to 2011.  These include gateway features, lighting, sidewalks, intersection designs, etc.  To view detailed plans, click here.
