Primrose Lane to Harbach Boulevard
- Raised median with opportunity for streetscaping should be installed from the east leg of Franklin to University Boulevard, with median breaks at the signalized intersections of Franklin, Alice, Harbach, and University Boulevard.
- Right-in, right-out driveways should be consolidated; only one RIRO driveway between signalized intersections is recommended. Based on the NW 86th Street Redevelopment Plan, the parcels should have shared accesses, back parking lots, and back access to supplement the RIRO driveway.
- Widen Alice Avenue east and west approaches, as redevelopment opportunities occur to provide additional lane at signal and modify/reconstruct signal as needed.
- The estimated total cost of this project is $311,000 with possible funds coming from a private/public partnership with redevelopment.
- This project does not have a defined implementation schedule. Improvements will be made as redevelopment occurs.
- Project Notes:
- Median construction to occur with redevelopment.
- Middle lanes to be closed during construction.
- Maintain traffic and business access.
Harbach Boulevard
- The west leg of Harbach should be realigned north as the area redevelops to create a four-leg intersection. Assuming this reconfiguration, recommended improvements on NW 86th Street at this location include:
- Widen Harbach Boulevards east and west approaches as redevelopment opportunities occur to provide additional lane at signal and modify/reconstruct signal as needed.
- Realign Harbach Boulevard to create a direct connection between 86th Street and Swanson Blvd as redevelopment opportunities occur.
- This is not included in estimated cost because it is assumed to occur as redevelopment occurs.
- The estimated cost of this project is $400,000 with possible funding from a private/public partnership with redevelopment.
- This project does not have a defined implementation schedule. Improvements will be made as redevelopment occurs.
- Project Notes:
- Maintain traffic and business access.
- West Harbach construction to occur with redevelopment
