  • Widen to west with redevelopment opportunities to create two consolidated driveway points for full access between University Boulevard and Walnut Creek.  Right turn lane widening on both sides of 86th Street will provide long-term opportunity for six lanes if traffic growth exceeds projections.
  • Raised median with opportunity for streetscaping should be installed for definition of access points.
  • The estimated cost of this project is $190,000 with possible funding coming from a private/public partnership with redevelopment.
  • This project does not have a defined implementation schedule. Improvements will be made as redevelopment occurs.

    • Phase southbound right turn lane construction separate from median construction.
