Construction Project Updates

Please keep in mind these updates are subject to change at any time due to weather or various other extenuating circumstances.

NW 86th Street & University Boulevard Intersection through NW 84th Street

Work in progress week of November 17, 2008: 

 

  • Remaining electric distribution poles adjacent to NW 86th Street and University Boulevard will be removed.
  • New crossing gates placed at the NW 86th Street crossing.
  • Crews on site to complete remaining storm sewer work on University Boulevard.
  • Contractor’s paving crews and equipment mobilized to site in preparation for first mainline pour from the last business access (8527 University Blvd) east to the end of project (NW 84th Street intersection).  Pour scheduled to begin mid-morning on Wednesday, November 19th as soon as temperatures allow.
  • Crews scheduled to pour the three business access drives onto the Boulevard once cure time on the new slab is attained late this weekend.
  • Contractor or subcontractor to continue grading and trimming of subgrade on open section near NW 86th Street intersection.  Rocking of subbase to follow as additional areas are finish graded and become available.
  • Mainline paving will continue as site conditions and weather allow.
  • MidAmerican or subcontractor expected to mobilize to site to remove and replace transmission poles (4 total) adjacent to NW 86th Street
