Oversight & Vision Committee
The newly structured committee will serve to provide oversight and vision to projects as they proceed along the redevelopment of NW 86th Street and University Boulevard. The committee will work to prepare the City and its residents for planned corridor evolution through future redevelopment and aesthetic improvements in order to create a positive image of the corridor.
The committee’s roles are to:
- Support and assist the goals, objectives, and strategic directions as outlined in the NW 86th Street Corridor Plan;
- Discuss components of the NW 86th Street Corridor Plan, including timelines, designs, construction issues, funding, public art integration, streetscape, use of public space, and other components as needed
- Establish and/or strengthen effective community partnerships with business owners, residents, and other targeted stakeholders concerning redevelopment projects and future development opportunities;
- Serve as a liaison and provide information to Council on matters pertaining to the progress made along the Corridor.

- Mayor Les Aasheim and Council Members John Edwards and Paul Leighton
- Support Staff: Dennis Henderson, Kelly Canfield, Doug Ollendike, Bart Weller
- Interchanging Members: Remaining Council Members (Ronni Begleiter, Steve Brody, and Scott Cirksena)
- Staff and/or consultants as needed
- Representation from various groups as needed (P&Z, Parks Board, Crestview, etc.)
- Potential representative(s) from businesses along NW 86th Street, University Boulevard and University Avenue.
- Neighborhood group representative(s)
