Civil Service Commission
Responsibilities - The Civil Service Commission oversees the testing, hiring, and appeal of discipline for police officers. Established by State Code, Chapter 400.1, the Commission must follow guidelines and mandates set forth in that law.
Meetings - As needed.
Membership - The three board members, all residents of the City of Clive, each serve four year terms. Members are appointed by the Mayor, with approval of the city council.
