Food For Fines at Clive Library
Food donations can be exchanged for library fines.
The Third Annual Food for Fines program begins August 1st at the Clive Public Library. The program allows library patrons to exchange non-perishable food items for fines they owe on overdue materials. Patrons receive a $1 credit for each item donated up to a total of $5.
“This is great opportunity for our library patrons to support our community, and get a little something in return.” Shared Library Manager Steph Keller. “Each year we have offered the program, the response has increased.” She added.
All food donations are accepted, weather you owe fines are not, and items collected will be donated to Clive Community Services food bank. The program runs through the end of August.
