2017 Greenbelt Oxbow Restoration and Trail Rehabilitation Project
Beginning October 9, 2017, the Greenbelt Trail connection between roughly the Aquatic Center and Greenbelt Drive will be closed. Vermeer will be in the area to clear portions of the area for the Oxbow Restoration and for the new Trail alignment. This is anticipated to take about two weeks. Once the clearing is complete, Public Works will be constructing the oxbow restoration. The trail will likely be closed for a good portion of this work as well. Construction of the Oxbow is anticipated to be completed by Early Winter. A trail detour map can be viewed by clicking here; project map may be viewed by clicking here.
During the October 26 City Council meeting staff provided a brief presentation updating the City Council on the project and providing information on concerns raised related to the tree removals associated with the project. Please click here to see a copy of that presentation.
Weekly updates will be posted to this webpage once construction begins. Please contact Rachel Conrad at 223-6231, or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
