Public Input Event
Clive Seeks Public Input on Improvements to Community Center and Greenbelt Event Space
- Date: 06/01/2018 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
The City of Clive is pursuing improvements recommended in 2016’s acclaimed Clive Greenbelt Master Plan. The City, along with project leader RDG Planning & Design, are evaluating whether to renovate/expand the Clive Special Event Building located adjacent to the Clive Aquatic Center. The city is also looking for ways to better connect the Special Event Building to Walnut Creek, the greenbelt, and surrounding public spaces. This area hosts to the annual Clive Festival, so the study is looking for opportunities to improve the area for this event and other potential new events that could take place in the area.
Join city staff, and community leaders on June 1 from 5:30–8:00 p.m. at Campbell Park to provide your input regarding ideas for this area of Clive. The public input event is being held in conjunction with Food Truck Friday which is held Fridays in May and June next to the ballfields at Campbell Park (12385 Woodlands Parkway). Discussions will focus on the type of events the public would like to see at the Community Center site in the future, how the parking lot can be improved to accommodate these events, and the role of the greenbelt.
“We are interested to hear from Clive residents and their ideas on how best to position this community asset in order to maximize the benefit to our community.” Shared Leisure Services Director Todd Seaman. “This area along the greenbelt has significant untapped potential, and it is important community members help us define those opportunities for the area moving forward.” He added.
The public can attend all or part of the event. For more information contact Todd Seaman at 223-6220.
